A SMOP filter unit for continuous production

Compressed air-cleaned filters of the type SMOP are very suitable for extracting and filtering sanding dust and other fine dusts, and comply with current ATEX legislation. In addition, it is ensured that residual dust emissions remain well within the standard by using certified filter material according to dust class M. The filter is equipped with a dry extinguishing line and can optionally be equipped with dust collection trays, a briquette press or airlock. Due to its compact construction, the unit can be placed (depending on capacity) in or adjacent to virtually any commercial building, provided that ATEX regulations are maintained.

Furthermore, filter systems operate on the vacuum principle. This means that the fans are placed on the clean air side and therefore transport only clean air. Before that, the dirt is already separated by the filter cartridges. This makes it possible to apply high-efficiency fans. This means significant energy savings which can be as high as 30%.

The filter units are designed with a large filter surface area, so the filter load is very low. The filter cartridges also feature a PTFE (Teflon) membrane, which ensures a long service life. The built-in compressed air cleaning system allows cleaning during operation, so there is no need to interrupt the production process.

Meconaf filter units with multiple fans (number depending on capacity), are equipped with an energy saving module. By adjusting the capacity according to need, it will never extract more than is required. This creates enormous energy savings.

It is also important that air velocity is sufficiently high to prevent the material from settling in the pipe, which can cause blockages. By using multiple mains, even greater energy savings can be achieved.
