Dust extraction potatoes

The processing of unwashed potatoes releases a lot of dust. This dust quickly spreads throughout the processing area. Forklifts driving around only compounded the problem by blowing the dust back up onto the floor.

Isolating machines

Meconaf solves this by isolating the machines, which produce the dust, as much as possible from the rest of the processing area. We do this by installing a transparent tarpaulin from the roof to the floor. The dust can then not spread further throughout the room.

Behind the tarpaulin, we install the piping for dust extraction. We install the extraction points above the critical areas. We provide the most dust-producing machines such as brush machines, roll pre-sorting units and the sorting machines with point extraction by installing a dust hood around the dust source.

Energy Savings

The piping leads through all the dust extraction points to the extraction system. The most commonly used installation for dust extraction is, where the filter cartridges are cleaned by compressed air. This is done fully automatically. We clean the extracted air to return it to the processing room. With this, you hardly lose any heat inside. This saves you a lot of energy! The dust that our systems remove from the air stream can be collected in plastic bags or in a collection tray or box, depending on the size of the extraction systems.
