Every employer is required by law to ensure a safe working environment. At Meconaf, we help companies in the wood industry with a thorough Qex inspection of exhaust systems so that you can comply with safety regulations and ensure a safe workplace.

Why a Qex inspection for your extraction system?

An extraction system in woodworking must be inspected regularly to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. With the Qex inspection, we ensure that your extraction system is functioning optimally, according to the requirements of the Qex seal of approval (which stands for Quality Extration Systems) and your RI&E report (concerning fire and explosion safety).

What does a Qex inspection entail?

Our Qex inspection consists of an overall inspection of your extraction system, during which we check the following components and adjust them if necessary:

  • Motors
  • Bearings
  • Filters
  • Piping
  • Fire Safety
  • Explosion Safety

After the inspection, you will receive a detailed report describing the current condition of the installation within three weeks.

Maintenance and replacement of parts

Minor work is performed immediately during the inspection. If parts such as motors, bearings, filters or piping need to be replaced, you will receive a separate quotation for this. This ensures that your installation once again functions optimally and meets legal safety requirements, including the Machinery Directive(ATEX legislation) and workplace dust requirements.

Periodic Qex inspection and reminder

To ensure that your installation is permanently safe, you will receive a reminder for a new inspection after one year. This way, your extraction installation in woodworking will always remain in top condition. Perhaps also good to mention here is that SKH periodically performs checks on existing or delivered installations certified by us.
