Windshifting extraction technology for 2nd project in USA

Windshifting is an extraction technique we use at drop points in the processing line.

Meconaf recently delivered another extraction system to the west coast of the USA. This is a second project for us for the same client. We not only see it as confirmation, that they were very satisfied with our services, we also experience it.

Optimal product flow with Windshifting

In 2022, we connected the first extraction system to their optical sorter, which provided excellent results for them. As an addition, the customer decided to purchase an additional installation. This second installation is connected to the infeed line and features a dual windshifting system on two conveyors.

Windshifting plays a crucial role in optimizing product flow. By using a separate fan, we blow dust and sheets so effectively out of the product flow. The powerful extraction hoods ‘catch’ the airflows blown upwards, which are then extracted into the new extraction system.
