Dust extraction for optical sorting plant

Optical sorting plant? You really can’t do that without dust extraction!

For this project, we traveled to the province of Flevoland to install a Meconaf extraction system for dust extraction at an arable farm. The special thing about this project is that our extraction system was placed on a state-of-the-art optical sorting installation.

Windshifting prevents disruption of camera images

For example, a haulm separator has been installed in the sorting line to remove the potato leaves that are still in the product. However, this does not succeed 100%, which is very important in optical sorting. This is because potato foliage can interfere with camera images. Therefore, our extraction system is also equipped with a wind shift system which separates the last haulm from the potatoes.

Low-dust product flow at optical sorting plant

We blow the sticks up through the product and extract them with a large suction hood placed above the product flow. The various extraction points further ensure a dust-free working environment because the dust level is greatly reduced.

Craftsmanship and trust

We thank our interior and exterior mechanics for the wonderful installation work and Koelbedrijf Eising for putting their trust in us. On Facebook we see and read that the company is very satisfied with the optical sorting installation.

No extraction on your optical sorting system yet?

Meconaf Afzuiging has extensive experience with the installation of wind shifting systems on optical sorting installations at home and abroad. To illustrate; for example the project at a potato seed potato grower in Middenmeer and the project in the USA. Because of our customized solutions, our suction systems can optimize your product flow. Therefore, for a customized solution, please feel free to contact us.
