Cyclofilter installed in Norway
Not one cyclone filter, but even two cyclone filters were recently installed in Norway. After an on-site meeting and follow-up conversations online, we were awarded the contract. Then the production period started in Franeker and all parts were transported by road to the Norwegian client.
Then a number of mechanics from Meconaf traveled to a completely new processing hall to install the cyclones and associated piping. They succeeded in carrying out the installation within the deadline. After a successful Site Acceptance Test (SAT), the extraction system was put into operation in the new and state-of-the-art onion packaging plant. This is a special, and of course a great moment for all parties involved.

So the complete extraction system was installed at an onion processing plant in Norway. In this company onions are cleaned and packed for consumers. A lot of dust is released during this processing. Furthermore, an onion loses part of its skins during processing. It is important to use a good extraction system to extract much of the dust above and around the machines. Therefore, the extraction points are also wrapped with a foil. This ensures and clean and working workplace for the people present in the room. The removal of the dust and sheets is especially important to achieve a good quality end product, but also very important for the proper functioning of the optical sorter purchased by this customer which works with very advanced electronics.

The systems are connected by piping to the appropriate places on the line. The extracted air is cleaned of dust and sheets in the Meconaf cyclone filter. The air is 99.9% cleaned and can be returned to the processing area. This saves the client a lot of energy. All in all, a wonderful job at a modern company.
